Apart from being known as the largest slum in the world, Mumbai’s Dharavi boasts underlying industries like pottery and leather. Kumbharwada or pottery village is a thriving hub of craftsmanship where for generations, potters have carried on the tradition of creating beautiful pottery out of clay.

This photograph depicts men bringing raw materials for pottery from a nearby road as trucks can not pass through Dharavi’s narrow lanes.
