An Evening Stroll Through the Old City – Ahmedabad Photo Walk
June 2 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Join me for an old Ahmedabad photo walk where we explore the heritage city’s famous pols, havelis, temples and more as we engage in meaningful conversation.
If you are starting out in photography and want to learn how to portray the world the way you see it, this walk is for you. At the end of the walk, you should gain confidence, start building your perspective, and learn to depict the life around you.
This photo walk is open for everyone including amateurs, enthusiasts, and professionals. As long as you know how to operate your own camera, you should be fine.
About Old Ahmedabad
Amidst a labyrinth of narrow streets and bustling bazaars, lies the heritage city of Ahmedabad. Here, time seems to stand still, preserving the rich tapestry of history woven into its very streets. Walking through the old quarters of Ahmedabad is like stepping into a living museum, where every corner whispers tales of bygone eras.
But perhaps the true soul of Ahmedabad lies not only in its monuments or landmarks, but also in the spirit of people. In the bustling chowks and vibrant marketplaces, one finds a melting pot of cultures and traditions, each contributing to the unique tapestry of life in the city.
About the Walk
Because the sweltering heat melts the city through the day, we will explore the city in the evening. We walk around Ahmedabad as the sun goes down, witnessing the changing sunlight creating dramatic shadows.
As we engage in conversation, we walk through the narrow lanes of pols, stopping by at some havelis and temples. The walk offers opportunities for candid street photography, portraits of friendly locals, and architecture photography.
